Jihan Bowes-Little
Jihan Bowes-Little is Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Bracket Capital.
Jihan began his investing career in London on Goldman Sachs’ esteemed Global Macro Proprietary Trading Desk, the first analyst in the firm’s history to be asked to join. In 2006, he moved to Credit Trading, where he managed a multi-billion dollar portfolio throughout the subprime crisis, generating record profits and gaining invaluable expertise investing in illiquid markets and emerging asset classes. He later joined Millennium Capital as a Portfolio Manager, and was later recruited to lead a multi-strategy portfolio for BlueCrest Capital, where he was promoted to Partner in 2012.
Jihan has layered experience identifying and investing in macro trends across multiple asset classes, lending him unique insights into evolving investable themes, portfolio construction and asset allocation. He has spoken at high- profile conferences from TedX to Raise.
Jihan graduated with honours from Brown University (2002) with a double major in Economics and Philosophy. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
Yalda Aoukar
Yalda Aoukar is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Bracket Capital and serves as Chairperson of Bracket Foundation. She is a fierce advocate of technology for good especially as it relates to solving the world’s most pressing global challenges. She is a champion for women’s empowerment and entrepreneurship in Venture Capital and other financial sectors, where women are traditionally underrepresented.
In addition to investing in leading technology companies, she serves as an adviser to governments and policy makers on digital development in diverse fields such as Fintech, Smart City Building, Artificial Intelligence Integration, and Education Technology. She sits on the Board of the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE) Accelerator, is a member of the Fast Company Impact Council and an active member of Tomouh, a global network for young Arab leaders.
She has been a guest speaker on diverse panels to discuss her experience in Venture Capital as well as the impact technology is having on society and share the philanthropic ventures being pioneered through her endeavors with the Foundation.
